Defending champions St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) and Manchester High had contrasting but narrow wins to secure their spots in the ISSA/LIME Ben Francis Knock Out Competition contested by rural area schools.

STETHS had to do it the hard way after going down 2-0 to Paul Bogle High early in their semifinal at the Juici-Patties Park. The defending champions seemed as if they were going to say goodbye to the competition until they staged a miraculous recovery late in the game to score three unanswered goals in just four minutes as Paul Bogle were reduced to 10 men.

In the other semifinal, Manchester High scored early and never looked like relinquishing their lead despite not looking like scoring any more either. The 1-0 win put them into the final against their old nemesis who they will oppose on Saturday October 26 at STETHS starting at 3:00pm.

The last time these two teams met in the final of this competition, STETHS won 2-1.
