Kirk Ramsey wants to win the Flow Champions Cup this year. The Arnett Gardens captain has hit a rich vein of form and is scoring goals for fun. He is playing with a smile on his face and a determination in his play which suggests that he can lead his team success.

The striker has been instrumental in his teams run in the competition and says that the good fortune so far this season has been down to hard work.

“I am in a happy mood,” he proclaims. “I have been working hard and getting the goals. I have been coming in early and doing some extra work with the coach which has helped a lot. In the games I am working hard to score goals or to provide assists.”

“I want to win the Flow Champions Cup,” he insisted.

Arnett Gardens will face their rivals Tivoli Gardens in the first of two semifinals in the competition on Sunday at the Drewsland stadium starting at 5pm. There is no doubt that Ramsey will be a targeted man as he scored a brace the last time these two teams met in the premier league a few weeks ago. That game ended 2-2, so an exciting game is certainly on the cards for Sunday.

The importance of the game to the  Arnett Gardens community is not lost on Ramsey who will be keen on getting a good result.

“Arnett Gardens is a very passionate community. We won the pre-season cup and we want to win the Flow (Champions) Cup. We want to do it for the fans so I will continue to work harder and harder to get the job done,” he said with a steely determination which suggested that Tivoli will be in for a hard time from the first whistle.
