Zone B of Sherwin Williams WPL impossible to predict

There are just two sets of games left to play in the Sherwin Williams Women’s Premier League and it would take a very brave man to bet on who will emerge as the two semifinalists from Zone B.

There are just two sets of games left to play in the Sherwin Williams Women’s Premier League and it would take a very brave man to bet on who will emerge as the two semifinalists from Zone B.

The top four teams of the six team group are separated by just three points in what has been a very keen contest all season long.

Trelawny Women’s FC  on fifteen points, lead the zone and play away to fifth place Arnett Gardens who on ten points may be just out of the reckoning. Despite their place in the group, Trelawny can expect no favours from Arnett as there is no love lost between the teams. Expect a bruising contest in a game that could be won by either team or end in a draw.

Waterhouse, who were leading the zone before the last set of games is now in third place on 14 points. They travel to Frazsiers Whip in hunt of three crucial points against a team that is yet to secure a single point in this their first season in the league. If Waterhouse fail to collect all three points tomorrow they can kiss the semifinals goodbye.

The most interesting matchup in the zone is the game between second place GC Foster College and fourth place Los Perfectos. Kurt Brooks who conditions the GC Foster team was the previous coach at Los Perfectos where he built a strong unit and guided them to a Knock Out Trophy. Now he faces his old team will a semifinal spot on the line. The teams are separated by just 2 points so a win for the visitors would see them leapfrog GC Foster.

Brooks will be keen to secure all three points against his old team as he seeks to keep zone leaders Trelawny in his sights while keeping Waterhouse at bay as they lead the Drewsland team only on goal difference.

All the games begin at 3:30pm and when the dust settles on this penultimate set of matches, we may just be clearer on who will be in this season’s semifinals.
