Demichelis dread from Man City

It seems as if Manchester City cannot have enough central defenders in their squad as Sky Sports is reporting that new recruit Martin Demichelis has suffered a knee injury in training and is likely to be out for six weeks.

It seems as if Manchester City cannot have enough central defenders in their squad as Sky Sports is reporting that new recruit Martin Demichelis has suffered a knee injury in training and is likely to be out for six weeks.

The Argentine international signed for City over the weekend after finalising a move from Atletico Madrid.

This will be a body blow to new City manager Manuel Pellegrini who has seen his defensive leader and team captain Vincent  Kompany go down to a groin injury very early in the season.

Joleon Lescott and Matija Nastasic have looked shaky at the back at times so far this season and this new injury problem could give the manager nightmares as he tries to get his team to gel.
