Usain Bolt,BBC,

Having missed out on being crowned the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) 2015 World Athlete of the Year award, Usain Bolt will be looking to brush off the challenge of five other sporting personalities to cop the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Overseas Sports Personality of the Year 2015.

The award recognises the overseas athlete who has made the most substantial contribution to sport this year.

Tennis super stars and World number one for their respective genders, Serbian, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams of USA, along with Ruby star Dan Carter of New Zealand are amongst his greatest challengers this year. America Swimmer Katie Ledecky and Golfer Jordon Spieth are the other two challengers for the award.

The UK public for the first time will be invited to cast their votes to decide on the overseas athlete of the year. The vote is UK only and each voter can only cast one vote. They will have until Friday, 11th December at midnight to vote and the winner will be announced ahead of the main awards show in Belfast on December 20, 2015.

Bolt has won the award in 2008, 2009 and 2012, and as such will be vying for his fourth hold on the award. Real Madrid and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2014 Overseas Sports Personality award.
