FRASER-PRYCE GETS HER STREET IN NAMIBIA

Double Olympics and triple world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, fresh from her exploits in Beijing 2015,has embarked on a visit to the African country, Namibia.

Feedback and reports via her social media platform have revealed that her journey as been grand, exciting and fulfilling.

The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador disclosed via her Facebook fan page, that one of the major regions in Namibia, Otjozandjupa, upon recommendation from the Governor, decided to rename a street in her honour.

The son Road located in front of the region’s major stadium sports centre,will be named after the Jamaican champion.

The athlete nicknamed ‘Pocket Rocket’ is the first international athlete to receive such an honour in that coutry.

As a part of her mandate as the Unicef ambassador, she has taken on the task of spreading a positive message and reaching people across the globe, especially the kids.

Despite not being at end of her visit, she has impacted a lot to the kids in various communities and schools, and the reception has been an outstanding one.

She visited the Drimiopsis community primary school in the Region of Omaheke, where she made donations to institution, inclusive of a US$5000( $70,000 Namibian) dollars to the community school feeding program.
