World Championships,Beijing China,Natoya Goule,

“The heights by great men reach and kept were not attained by sudden flight…” It is that one thing young Jamaican rising star, in middle distance running, Natoya Goule is sure of.

Plying her trade in a somewhat unpopular event, for many athletics fan, the Clemson University standout is very much aware that she has to “toil upwards through the night, while her companions take slumber.”

Showing up at the 2015 National Senior Championships, as she did in 2014, with championship standards on her mind and this time having not just the stadium clock for company, but pushed all the way by her fellow country woman Simoya Campbell, the former Manchester High athlete managed to hit her target and secure her ticket to Beijing.

The 2013 Moscow World Championship representative looks forward to her second World Championship, donning the black green and Gold.

Q. How is the preparation for the upcoming Championship going?
A. It’s going great, and I am anticipating a good showing at my second World Championship

Q. What are your top five learning experiences from Moscow 2013,that you will forward to the 2015 Championship?
A. 1. I have learned that I must run my own race, using my own strategy and not others
2. I have learned to stay focused from start to finish, that’s the key to success.
3. I realized that running against the best in Moscow helped me to be more ready mentally and physically for the big championships.
4. Moscow help me realize that running the entire 800m is required, not just running 600 or 700m, but going all the way is important.
5. One of the most Important things that I learnt in Moscow that its not impossible to be the best, but it all starts in the mind.

Q: What really motivates Natoya Goule ?
A. What motivates me is seeing others doing well. I have been dreaming of running faster times and when I see others do it, it makes me want to train and run harder.

Q. What is/ are your World Championship target/ goal 2015 ?
A. My target is to make the finals and get pr and represent Jamaica well.

“Everybody wants to win, but not everybody is willing to prepare to win. Anybody can say that they want to win, but what are you willing to sacrifice in order to get the win. If you’re not willing to give up anything, then it’s lip service. Are you willing to give up that extra five percent? Are you willing to stay later at practice or go 10 minutes earlier?”

We wish Natoya Goule the best of success in Beijing 2015.
