ELAINE THOMPSON SET FOR BIG BREAK- NO DOUBT NOR FEAR

Moving beyond numerous defeats over past seasons, to now be on the top half of the watch list of many track and field fans worldwide, Elaine Thompson is finally at the place where she can launch out into the deep. Some call it the dream season, but for Thompson, it is just the right time and she is taking it as it comes.

Taking the scalps of numerous track and field’s top female sprinters in 2015 thus far, Thompson’s eyes are firmly fixed on the top prize at stake at one the sport’s two signature events: the IAAF World Championships, set for Beijing China August 22- 30, 2015.

The Jamaica International Invitational World Challenge Meet and National Senior Athletics Championships were amongst several meets where the demure figure out of the MVP Track Club, tasted sweet victory.

Having in her camp, the reigning double sprint World Champion, Shelly–Ann Frazer-Pryce,is more than enough motivation to conquer her fears and vanquish any doubts when she steps onto the track inside the Birds Nest.

It was a little know Fraser-Pyrce, the just Fraser, that shocked the world at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and we may witness, the birth of another Jamaican World Champion this summer.

Thompson will be running in the 200m event and the stakes are high for her to join the likes of Veronica Campbell- Brown, Shelly- Ann Frazer- Pyrce and Merlene Ottey as Jamaica sprint queens who have been there and done that.
