VETERAN KIM CONTINUES TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT IT IS POSSIBLE

“I’m like a fine wine. I get better with age. The best is yet to come.” So says the sprint sensation hailing from the island of St Kitts and Nevis, Mr Kim Collins, who may be getting up in age, but he’s still showing why he’s a national hero in the twin island federation .

Collins, who at the age of 38 continues to run fast times and in the process rewriting the record books in athletics.

Kim achieved a new St Kitts & Nevis national record of 9.96s in July, finishing second behind American Mike Rodgers 9.91 at the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games 2014

The 2003 world champion from Paris, is still loved and cherished by his fans and family back home This despite he and his federation falling out of favour,with unresolved issues, in the last few seasons, which saw him being expelled from the team at Olympic Games in London in 2012 after they claimed he had left the Olympic village and stayed away without their consent.

Collins, with his performance at the Sainsbury Games has now become the new IAAF world master’s record holder in the M35 class as he continues to inspire other young track stars within his country and across the globe.
