MICHAEL CLARKE TO ADDRESS SPECIAL OLYMPICS JAMAICA ATHLETES

The 31st staging of the Special Olympics Jamaica National Summer Games will be held on Friday, June 6 and Saturday June 7, 2014 inside the National Stadium.

Seven Hundred and Five (705) athletes from 13 parishes are expected to display their talents in Track &  Field, Badminton, Volleyball, Bocce and Unified Basketball. 

The Opening Ceremony will be held inside the National Arena starting  at  5:00p.m.  Mr. Michael Clarke, Head Coach from Calabar High School  will address the audience.

The following awards will be presented to the Coach of the Year, Athlete of the Year and the Spirit of Special Olympics.

These games are very important as the athletes for the 2015 World Summer Games which will be held in Los Angeles from July 22 – August 2, 2015 will be selected.
