JADCO PARTNERS WITH CANADIAN CENTRE FOR ETHICS IN SPORT AND THE WORLD ANTI-DOPING AGENGY

In its on-going drive to further build capacity the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JACDO) will be partnering with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).  Our partners will be in Jamaica for an official visit between March 11 and 12.

In its on-going drive to further build capacity the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JACDO) will be partnering with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).  Our partners will be in Jamaica for an official visit between March 11 and 12.

Currently, the restructured JADCO, working in concert with its recently appointed Chairman and Commissioners, continues to  refine and upgrade its operational procedures by recruiting employees to meet its required staff complement; as well as, to restructure and increase its public education and testing procedures

In that regard, JADCO has partnered with the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) to host regional Junior Athletics Anti-Doping Education Workshops.  During the month of February, three successful workshops were held at the Jamaica Conference Centre (JCC), the G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport and Church Teachers’ College.

Two additional workshops are scheduled to be held during the month of March, at the Wexford Hotel in St. James, on Wednesday, March 12 and the Tropical Lagoon Resort in Portland, on Wednesday, March 19.
