Tevin-Lloyd Thompson picked up an injury in his first outing for his college Cincinnati University at a meet at the University of Akron on Friday, January 10th.

The former Kingston College sprinter who is in his freshman year at Cincinnati hurt his hamstring while running his first indoor 200meters.

“I limped through the last 100 meters after a felt a tightness just below my right glute,” he said.

The sprinter will miss the rest of the indoor season as the problem has been identified as a weakness in his right hamstring.

“I’m out for the rest of the indoor season due to a weakness and tightness in my right hamstring. I will be doing rehab until then and working with and adjusted work-out schedule that fits my problem.

“It sucks that I can’t do my regular work out, but I am happy that it’s not worse. I will be doing a lot of pool work and I will just have to be patient so I can have a good season despite the early setback.”

The coaching staff has taken the decision for him to take it slow with his recovery so that Thompson will be ready for the outdoor season.
