All Manchester final – a real possibility in Capital One Cup

Following the semifinal draw, right after the completion of tonight’s quarter finals, it is revealed that Manchester United will face Sunderland (who beat Chelsea 2-1 yesterday) in one semifinal. United completed a 2-0 win over Stoke City in terrible weather conditions, to book their semifinal spot.

In the other semifinal Manchester City will face West Ham who beat Tottenham Hotspurs 2-1 at White Hart Lane, to spoil Tim Sherwood’s first game in charge of Spurs since the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas on Monday.

The first game of the two-legged semifinals will be played in the week commencing January 6th.
