EXCITING JPL T/20 CRICKET INCLUDING PLAY- OFF ON THIS WEEK END

At the beginning of the final round of preliminary matches of the JTB/TEF sponsored JPL T20 Competition, four (4) teams are in with live chances of making it to the final three (3).

At the beginning of the final round of preliminary matches of the JTB/TEF sponsored JPL T20 Competition, four (4) teams are in with live chances of making it to the final three (3).

 

 Tournament leaders, Spanish Town Titians with one of the world’s most exciting T20 player, Andre Russell, Jamaica’s captain Tamar Lambert and the hard hitting Jamaica Tallahwah batsman Danza Hyat, will look to produce another thrilling day of cricket.  They are hoping to destroy the University Dynamites whose team includes the  competition’s leading run scorer,  West Indies “A” rep Nkrumah Bonner, who will join forces with other Jamaica Tallawahs and Jamaica Senior team players David Bernard Jr. and Andrew Richardson in the first game of this weekend’s double header scheduled for Melbourne Cricket Club on Saturday, November 23, starting at 9:30 am.

 

The second match of the day will commence at 1:30 pm and will see the bottom of the table Ocho Rios Chargers led by Captain Joseph Palmer with former West Indies batsman Xavier Marshall, taking on  Kingston Hurricanes led by captain Yannick Elliot and includes the dependable and destructive Carlton Baugh Jr,  They will be supported by another Jamaican player, Andre McCarty. 

 

Over at Manley Horne on the same day the battle continues with Mandeville Thunders going up against the MoBay Sixers.  The Mobay Sixers team includes two of the most exciting young Jamaican talents in cricket Jermaine Blackwood and Kenar Lewis. Match time will be 1:30 p.m

 

On Sunday, November 24, activities will kick-off at Manley Horne with a Promotional Matchth at 10:00 a.m. before the highly anticipated play-off game featuring the competition’s 2nd and 3rd place teams vying for a spot in the Finals on December 1.  The play-off match will be commence at 1:30 p.m.
