As many of you have already heard, I am presently receiving treatment as I became ill suddenly and have been hospitalized since Friday, November 8.

As many of you have already heard, I am presently receiving treatment as I became ill suddenly and have been hospitalized since Friday, November 8.

 I am truly grateful for the outpouring of love, care, concern, prayers and support that I have been receiving from my friends, colleagues, well-wishers, and indeed the many persons across the length and breadth of Jamaica and abroad.

The support through blood donations has been overwhelming, and I and my family are grateful.

Let me assure you that I am receiving the very best care possible, the prognosis is good and the signs for recovery are very encouraging.

In my absence, I have a very well organized and capable team in place to ensure that all the scheduled activities and events in which I normally participate, are executed as planned.

In the meantime, I welcome your continued prayers and support and look forward to resuming my regular activities soon.
