SUPER DAY 2013 will be sponsored by TALAWAH BEER on Saturday, November 9, 2013.

TALAWAH BEER SUPERSTAKES DAY 2013 sponsorship is valued at $1.5M to purses. The highly anticipated race meeting will offer 11 exciting races inclusive of four Graded races and a Purse Package of over $12.7 million.

 The Graded races are:

1.The 7th running of THE CAYMANAS JUVENILE SPRINT (GR.III) for NB 2-Y-O over 1300m for a purse of $1,000,000.

2.The 21st running of THE TALAWAH IMPORTED MILE (GR.I) a handicap race for Imported 3-Y-O and Up over 1600m for a purse of $1,250,000 inclusive of $250,000 from the sponsor TALAWAH BEER. The Top Contenders are: Blast Them Away, Double The Honey, El Poderoso, Go Go Yvonne, Hupomone, Kal Kal, Kiplin Weekend, Noon It Is, Reasonable Press, Rio Cobre, Uppa Tune, Argument Done, City Flight, Double Button, Jah Love, Miss Boss Lady, New Kingston, Nyabinghi, Pete’s Wildone, Sir Von and Turbulent Velocity.

3.The 26th running of THE TALAWAH BEER CARIBBEAN SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP (GR I) a weight for age race for NB 3-Y-O and Up over 1200m for a purse of $1,750,000 inclusive of $250,000 from the sponsor TALAWAH BEER. (4-Y-O and Up 57kg; 3-Y-O 55kg F&M allowed 2kg).

4.The 35th running of THE TALAWAH BEER SUPERSTAKES (GR.I) a weight for age race (for NB 3-Y-O and Up over 2000m for a purse of $4.5M inclusive of $1.0M from the sponsor TALAWAH BEER. (4-Y-O and Up 57kg; 3-Y-O 54kg F&M allowed 2kg).  The Top Contenders are:

Classy Prospect (57kg)  – Winner of The Prime Minister’s Stakes (GRI) 10F in 2:07:0

Perfect Neighbour (54kg)- Winner of the Jamaica Derby (GRI), the Jamaica St. Leger 

     (GR.I), the Governor General’s Stakes (GRI)

Typewriter (57 kg) -Winner the Kings Plate (GR.II) and the Nigel Nunes Memorial over 

9f & 25 yrds in 1:53:3

Commanding Chief (57kg)- Winner of the Owen Silvera Memorial Cup over 8F in 1:38:0

Lady Abhijita (52 kg) -Winner of the Jamaica Oaks (GR.I)

Sweet Trail (55 kg)- Won an Overnight Allowance over 7 ½ F in a fast time of 1:30:4
