Marvin Morgan scored the opener  for Waterhouse in their 2-0 win over Boys Town last Sunday when he drove home a right foot shot, low into the corner of the net in the 79th minute after being given too much space by the Boys Town defense inside the 18 yard box.

It was his first goal for the Drewsland club and on debut no doubt. It was a bitter sweet moment for the striker who had transferred from Boys Town during the summer window.

“It is a great feeling to score on debut. Unfortunately it was against my old club, but to open this season like this, there is no other feeling like it,” the diminutive striker told Yardie Sports.

Morgan will miss the next game as he picked up a second yellow card for removing his shirt during his goal celebrations.

The other goal scorer on the day was Romario Campbell who transferred from Harbour View. His goal came in stoppage time.

Coach Junior Francis was pleased with the win -“I was expecting even three goals, I told them to deliver what we do in training and we would get a good result.

” Campbell wasn’t fit enough to go from the start but after watching Boys Town and seeing what they had to offer we made a tactical change and brought him in and he got the second one for us tonight,” said the delighted coach.
