More great football is expected today when Group Two of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under – 17 Women’s Qualifying Tournament kicks off in St. Croix, US

Virgin Islands. In the first game, St. Kitts/ Nevis will meet Trinidad & Tobago at the Paul E. Joseph Stadium at 4:00p.m., while host USVI will face Antigua & Barbuda at 6:00p.m. 

Later in the week, on Friday, August 16, Trinidad & Tobago will encounter Antigua & Barbuda at 4:00 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. USVI will clash with St. Kitts/Nevis. 

Antigua & Barbuda will meet St. Kitts /Nevis on August 18, at 4:00pm and at 6:00pm hosts USVI will encounter Trinidad and Tobago at 4:00pm. Puerto Rico and Bermuda emerged from Group One as the first two teams to qualify for the finals. 

Puerto Rico defeated the Bahamas 3-1 and Bermuda 2-1, to top the tables with six points, while Bermuda earned three points by defeating the Bahamas 4-2 to take second place in the point standings. 

Eleven countries are competing for six places (two from each group) and the successful teams will advance to the CFU Finals. Three teams will thereafter qualify for the CONCACAF Women’s Under- 17 Finals.
