The Reggae Boyz arrived at the Miami International this morning, Sunday 29th, where the squad will hold a training camp until June 2 before they leave for Chicago. Goalkeeper Andre Blake has also now joined the squad, while Chevon ‘Messi’ Marsh will join the camp in Florida from Finland. Rudolph Austin will join on Monday as the team continues their preparation for the Copa Centenario.
The Winfried Schafer coached Reggae Boyz scored a memorable 2-1 win over Chile on Friday night with goals coming from Clayton Donaldson in the 36th minute and Giles Barnes in the 53rd minutes as they led the South Americans 2-0. But Nicholas Castillo made it 2-1 with eight minutes to go to set up a nervy ending for the Boyz, who withstood the pressure to claim a famous win.
Jamaica will face Venezuela on Sunday June 5 in their first game in the Copa Centenario.
