Kingston, Jamaica – The LIME Foundation continued its proud tradition of helping to send Jamaican athletes to the annual Penn Relays Classics in the USA, with a handover yesterday morning of $3.6 million to 24 teams.

As Jamaica’s prowess on the junior athletics stage continues its steady upward march, the Foundation has been stepping up its support over the years.

Speaking at a presentation ceremony held at LIME’s corporate headquarters in Kingston, Executive Chairman of the LIME Foundation, Errol Miller, explained: “Our support for the development of youth athletics is strong. We have been making this investment since 1993 and the Foundation – like many Jamaicans – is pleased at the year-over-year improvement in performance when our local high schools go up against some of the world’s best.”

The 24 schools received $150,000 each along with LIME Jus’ Talk calling cards for athletes, coaches and administrative staff to keep in touch with their loved ones back home.

Each year, high schools and universities apply to the Foundation for sponsorship to send their teams to Penn.
