JAMAICA SENDS YOUNG 17 MEMBER TEAM TO 22ND CAC GAMES

On the back of early season preparations for the 2015 upcoming track and field season, there is still one regional senior meet on the 2014 calendar, which has taken a lot by surprise.

The XXII Central American and Caribbean Games will be staged in Veracruz, Mexico from November 14-30. The team is a showcases several junior stars and senior representative.

Two of the senior representative, former national champion 100m hurdler Indira Spence and two time World Championship representative shot putter Raymond Brown.

The reminder of the female team reads Tara-Sue Barnett (discus), Samantha Curtis (200m), Gayon Evans (100m), Natalie Grant (hammer), Vanessa Levy (hammer) and Genneva Greaves (shot put).

The men’s squad will also include Aubrey Allen (triple jump), Kegan Campbell (400m, 4x400m), Alvin Green (400m, 4x400m), Marzel Miller (4x400m), Nassive Powell (4x400m), Andre Clarke (400mH), Eric Keddo (110mH), Orrin Powell (javelin) and K’Don Samuels (pole vault).

Mr Edward Hector will; assume the head coach duty with Mr Orville Byfield has his assistant coach .
Team, manager will be Merlene Hamilton and Mr. Michael Newland wil be the team’s masseur.
