INSPORTS and JaBA partner to revive mini basketball

June 14, 2014| Kingston, Jamaica – The Institute of Sports (INSPORTS) and the Jamaica Baskeball Association (JaBA) has teamed up to resurrect the mini basketball programme which has been dormant for the last five years.

 

Presently schools from St James and the Corporate Area will be involved in an exploratory league (rally) format this school term with the Western Basketball Association (WBA) supervising the St James leg.

 

A total of 24 teams (12 in each region) are participating in the programme which begun on June 10 in St James, while a two-day activity in Kingston ends today. 
 

An assessment of the programme will be undertaken after its completion.

 

Mini Basketball caters for children up to 12 years old.
