Sports Minister Natalie Neita Headley has congratulated the Jamaica team to the

Speaking on her return to the island from The Bahamas where she
was among those witnessing the performance of the Jamaican team over the
week-end, Minister Neita Headley said “we are immensely proud of this latest
achievement by our talented athletes. With such a performance, Jamaica
continues to build strong, new talent which augers well for the future of our track
and field athletics.”
Minister Neita Headley also had high praise for The Bahamas saying it was
“particularly satisfying that a sister Caribbean nation was able to be such
remarkable hosts of these inaugural World Relays.”
Jamaica’s performances saw the country ended the games in the number two
position in terms of medals standings, while also setting a new world record in the 4 x 200 Men’s Relays.
