Westlanders Netball Club beat Bounty Hall Blazers “A” again

Westlanders Netball Club made a clean sweep of their home-and-away friendly encounter against Trelawny’s champion Bounty Hall Blazers “A”, by taking the return leg 46-24 on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at New Market Oval in Savanna-la-mar. They captured the first leg 65-28 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Bounty Hall Primary School, Trelawny.

 Captain Nikhesia Pearce netted 24 from 26 attempts in her role as Goal Shooter in the absence of Tianna Grant, while Goal Attack Keisha Livingston dropped 22 from 26 as the Westmoreland champions led each respective quarter 13-5; 25-9; 37-16; eventually winning by the 22goal margin of 46-24.

Goal Shooter Keila Henry of Bounty Hall Blazers “A” managed 10 from 14 while Goal Attack Judian Oliver sank 14 from 22 for the losers.

Meanwhile, a Parish Team from both parishes will play each other on two legs; the first on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Elliston Wakeland Centre, Falmouth, Trelawny and the second at New Market Oval, Savanna-la-mar the following Saturday, March 22, 2014. Both matches start 3:00pm.
