Favourite Wilson takes Class 3 sprint double at Corporate Area Development Meet

Tyreke Wilson has been dubbed the favourite to take the Class 3 sprint double at this year’s ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Championships and he showed exactly why, when he won the 100m and 200m at the inaugural staging of the Alcors Windows and Doors Development Meet on Saturday March 1, 2014.

Tyreke Wilson has been dubbed the favourite to take the Class 3 sprint double at this year’s ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Championships and he showed exactly why, when he won the 100m and 200m at the inaugural staging of the Alcors Windows and Doors Development Meet on Saturday March 1, 2014.

 

Wilson who is in his final year at Class 3, stopped the clock at 11.11 seconds in the second heat of the morning. Dejour Russell also of Calabar won heat 3 in 11.24 followed by Travis Williams of Gaynstead High in 11.55. They finished second and third overall in the event.

 

With the Grandstand providing plenty of shade in the afternoon, Wilson returned to produce the only sub-22 time in the Class 3 200 meters when he finished way ahead of the field in 21.95. Christopher Taylor of Calabar was second overall in the event with 22.30 while Travis Williams of Gaynstead  who finished third overall in the 100m did likewise in the 200m.
