KSAFA Major League Competition – Week 1

1. Rockfort FC  2-1  Whitfield Town FC 

 

In a sizzling match between Rockfort and Whitfield Town Damian Tully from Rockfort put his team ahead in the 11th min when he navigated the ball into the back of Whitfield net. Rockfort maintained the lead, holding off the boys from Whitfield until Jamar Reynolds put his team on the scoreboard in the 42nd min.

1. Rockfort FC  2-1  Whitfield Town FC 

 

In a sizzling match between Rockfort and Whitfield Town Damian Tully from Rockfort put his team ahead in the 11th min when he navigated the ball into the back of Whitfield net. Rockfort maintained the lead, holding off the boys from Whitfield until Jamar Reynolds put his team on the scoreboard in the 42nd min.
Both teams were equal at this point in the game and the match seem to heading for a draw until Calvin Campbell of Rockfort scored a superb goal for Rockfort in the 88th minute to break the hearts of the visitor who must have been hoping to leave with at least a point.
 
 
2. Seaview Gardens FC   1   vs.   Swallowfield FC 2
 
The match between Seaview Gardens and Swallowfield was nothing short of tantilizing excitement. Jamar Roberts of Seaview put the home team ahead in at the 31st min. They maintained the lead to the half time break, but Jamarah Johnson from Swallowfield leveled the score in 61st min. Both teams went in search of the winner and Peter Richards from Swallowfield proved to be the hero when he grabbed the winner in 90+1 min.
 
 
3. Duhaney Park FC 2 vs.  Cooreville Gardens FC 1
 
In the much anticipated game between neighbours Duhaney Park and Cooreville Gardens, Shavon Maxwell gave the home team the early lead in the 12th min. 56th min Garet Francis double the Duhaney Park lead in the 56th minute before Rashaun Livingtson got a consolation for Cooreville in the 88th min.
 
 
4. Maverley/Hughenden FC 2    vs.  Red Hills FC 1
 
In the match between Maverley and Red Hills Fabian Clarke put Maverley in the lead at the 32nd minute and five minutes later Leon Jarrett doubled the home team’s lead. Red Hills pulled one back three minutes before the break when William Richards found the back of the net. There would be no more goals in the game as Marverley/Hughenden hung on for a much deserved win on their return to the competition.
