The Defending Champions are UTech (Males) UWI (Females). NCU’s placement in the finals is testament to the great work the intuition has been doing to develop badminton in central Jamaica.

This is the first time that NCU’s male team is making the finals in over seven years. The collegiate circuit boasts both the national male champion Gareth Henry (UTech) and the national female Champion Katherine Whynter (UWI) along with many other current and former champions.

The defending champions are UTech in the men’s section, who have won the competition three out of the last four years and UWI in the women’s section. UWI women’s team are the four time defending champions and are looking to make it 5 years in a row. The defending Male and female singles champions are Simon Tomlinson and Tracey Ann Dattadean respectively.
