UWI 5K on this Sunday

The 2nd Annual CB Group UWI, 5K Run/Walk and inaugural Island Grill Kiddies 2K will be held at the UWI Mona Bowl, on Sunday, November 17 proceedings begin at 6:00am. This year marks the inaugural staging of the Island Grill Kiddies 2K race held at the Mona Bowl at 8:30am on Sunday, November 17 as well.

This year marks the inaugural staging of the Island Grill Kiddies 2K race held at the Mona Bowl at 8:30am on Sunday, November 17 as well. 

This years’ CB Group UWI 5K Run/Walk will be honouring Michael ‘Mike’ Fennell, President of the Jamaica Olympic Association, and will be held under the patronage of The Hon. Douglas Orane O.J., Committee Chairperson and Warren Weir, Olympic Medalist.

The CB Group UWI 5K was the brainchild of The Hon. Douglas Orane OJ, Chairman of Grace Kennedy, and The Hon. G. Raymond Chang, Chairman G. Raymond Chang Limited.  The inaugural staging far surpassed the organizers expectations registering over 2500 participants, and amassed over 18 million dollars in donations.
