The NWC will take place in August 2015 in Sydney with NEW CHANGES to the pool format with the aim to make the tournament more competitive.
“Under the new system, fans will no longer have to wait until the medal games to see the likes of New Zealand, Australia, England and Jamaica line up against each other.”
The top 6 nations automatically qualify plus 10 teams selected via regional tournaments. The 16 nations will be divided into 4 pools of 4 teams with the top ranked 1&2 teams in the same pool. Similarly, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th and 7th & 8th.
As of today’s ranking, Jamaica (4th) will be in the same pool as England (3rd).
