Jamaica College (JC) will take on Charlie Smith in the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup today at the Constant Spring Mini-Stadium starting at 3:00pm, eyeing a win that will take them a step closer to the semifinals of the competition.

Clear favourites for the Corporate area double, JC was surprised 2-0 by Excelsior in the semifinals of the Walker Cup and must now focus on the Manning Cup competition.

Junior Flemmings has been the main man for JC and will be aiming to do to the Charlie Smith defenders, what he did to the KC back line recently, with his pace and trickery.

Charlie Smith head coach Jerome Waite, now has a dual role as he took on the head coaching role at Premier League club Arnett Gardens a few days ago. He must now switch from one style to the other and balance both jobs.

Waite admitted after the loss against Hydel, in game one of the second round, that his team faces an uphill battle to make the semis. Finding a way to shut down the JC danger man Flemmings, will be critical to keep his team’s slim chances alive.

Bebeto McDonald, the ‘Big Man’ for Charlie Smith, will need to be lethal in front of goal today if he doesn’t want the final game in the round, against KC, to be of academic interest only.
