Waterhouse FC are in the 2013 finals of the FLOW Champions Cup knockout competition as they dispatched Harbour View FC (HVFC) 1-0 courtesy of a 60th minute strike from Romario “Rom Rom” Campbell.

The former HVFC player, who was recently transferred to Waterhouse, came on late in the first half and injected some life in what was a dead encounter up to that point. Waterhouse picked up the tempo with the introduction of Campbell who dictated the pace and displayed good vision, passes and dribbling skill.

The skillful midfielder showed his class on the hour mark, when he turned his defender Dicoy Williams and fired a ferocious shot past Harbour View helpless custodian in goal Devon Haughton.

Campbell, goalkeeper Richard McCallum, and striker Jermaine ‘Tuffy’ Anderson were surprisingly included in the team after arriving on Saturday from Jamaica’s 2-0 loss to the US in World Cup Qualifier in the United States.

Speaking to Yardie Sports before the game, coach of Waterhouse, Junior Francis stated that “the players were released by the national coach and made available to us, as such the team will be boosted by their presence.”

Obviously disappointed by his team performance, head coach Harold Thomas rued his half chances and missed opportunities’ in the early exchanges of the game but also credited Waterhouse for a well fought game.

Tivoli and Waterhouse will now square off for the final of the Flow Champions Cup and winning incentive of $1 million on October 28 at Harbour View Mini-Stadium, starting at 9 p.m.
