Liverpool and the return of Luis Suarez

It was an anxious moment awaiting the arrival of the suspended forward; He made his comeback against Manchester United in the capital one cup where he showed glimpses of his undoubtedly prolific ability.

His return against Sunderland at the stadium of light could not have been timelier due to the fact that their star playmaker Philippe Coutinho is injured and out until October. His running off the ball was impressive, getting himself into space and wanting to take on defenders as usual.

It can be argued that he is not as match fit, but he scored a brace making his stance clear after vowing to clean up his act and planning to aid Liverpool in their quest for success. He is needed in the squad and can provide Liverpool with more options upfront long-side Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool are playing a passing game which will need creative, fast and tactical players who are aware and Luiz is just that type of player. He had seven shots against Sunderland scoring two and making some quick run with and off the ball. His work rate was good, at times he would fall deep to defend then raced back upfront in attack. The combination of Suarez and Sturridge will prove to be more than a handful for opponents if both players can remain fit and in form.

This duo (partnership) will be something to watch in terms how Rodgers will use the two from time to time. One good factor is that both Luis and Daniel can be used in a central position or on the wing so they are interchangeable.  The threat that Suarez poses upfront will be a massive boost for Liverpool. His decisions and pace will highlight a good season again for him and for the club (Liverpool). He can yet again make his mark in the clubs record books and also make history if they can stay in the race and challenge for silverware for this 2013/2014 season.
