The striker scored in the first-leg semi-final aganst Portmore United when the UWI came from behind to win 2-1 and will be looking to be among the goals again today as they hunt a spot in the Red Stripe  Premier League final.

 

 

 

Girvon Brown is currently playing for his fourth club in the Red Stripe Premier League and he has never felt more at home. The player joined the club in their first year in the RSPL last season and ended as their leading scorer with 14 goals.

Both the University of the West Indies FC and Portmore United FC are expected to lay it all on the line this afternoon when they face off at 3pm the UWI Bowl for the chance to play against Arnett Gardens in the finals of the Red Stripe Premier League.

Photo: Patrick Brown came off the bench to score the winner for the University of the West Indies FC as they came from behind to defeat Portmore United 2-1 in the first leg of their Red Stripe Premier League semifinal at the Wembley Centre of Excellence on Sunday. The teams will meet in the second leg at the UWI Bowl next Sunday.

Humble Lion FC whipped Tivoli Gardens 4-0 at the Effortville Community Centre on Sunday to finish top of the pile of the Red Stripe Premier League after leaders at the beginning of the day, UWI FC fell 2-0 to Portmore United at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.

A point behind the UWI at the start of the day, Humble Lion needed a win over Tivoli plus help from Portmore to surpass the Mona based team and claim the $1million dollar bounty.

League leaders, the University of the West Indies FC, created history on Sunday when they defeated Reno FC 1-0 to advance to the knock out phase of the Red Stripe Premier League for the very first time, in only their second season in the league.

The University of the West Indies opened up a four point gap at the top of the Red Stripe Premier League when they thrashed former champions Tivoli Gardens 4-0 in the opening fixture of the Monday Night double header, before Portmore United put on a similar 4-0 pasting on desperate Boys Town on a cold, wet night inside the National Stadium.
