Arnett Gardens took a giant step towards reaching the Red Stripe Premier League final as goals from Fabian 'Parko Blacks' Reid and Vishinul Harris earned them a 2-1 victory over Humble Lions in the first leg of the semi-final.
Photo: Fabian Reid scored all three goals for Arnett Gardens when they got by Montego Bay United in the quarterfinal round of the Red Stripe Premier League and they will take on the regualr season champions Humble Lion at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex tonight starting at 8:00pm.
Arnett Gardens last won the Red Stripe Premier League two seasons ago and after overcoming an inauspicious regular season where they just managed to claim the last quarter final spot, the "Junglists" are now mentally ready to go all the way.

The teams will meet in the second leg at the UWI Bowl next Sunday.

Reid scored the equalizer in the 1-1 first leg draw before hitting a brace on Monday night in the 2-1 win as the Junglists advanced 3-2 on aggregate to the semifinals.

Portmore United will play in their second semifinal since returning to the Premier League last season.

Humble Lion FC whipped Tivoli Gardens 4-0 at the Effortville Community Centre on Sunday to finish top of the pile of the Red Stripe Premier League after leaders at the beginning of the day, UWI FC fell 2-0 to Portmore United at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.
A point behind the UWI at the start of the day, Humble Lion needed a win over Tivoli plus help from Portmore to surpass the Mona based team and claim the $1million dollar bounty.
