Glendon “Admiral” Bailey fully understands the mammoth task at hand as he tries to turn around the fortunes of struggling Waterhouse FC. The former champions have been mired in the relegation zone for much of the season, which led to Bailey taking over from Marvin Tate after thirteen games into the current Red Stripe Premier League campaign.

For all intents and purposes, Marvin Tate would have coached his last game at Waterhouse FC this season after his team succumbed to their third loss in four games at the hands of the UWI FC on Sunday.

A narrow 1-0 loss, their third such defeat in a string of bad results, has seen the former champions slip back into the relegation zone as they remain on 11 points and in 11th place in the 12 team league.

Waterhouse FC talisman, Jermaine ‘Tuffy’ Anderson is set for a return to action very soon in the Red Stripe Premier League. The 37 year old has returned to training with the club and is hopeful of returning to the fray when the league resumes from its impromptu break, enforced by Hurricane Matthew.

It doesn’t matter what age you are, a new season always brings so much anticipation, excitement – and hope! Last season was possibly the most unpredictable season in the Red Stripe Premier League, with Mobay United's title-winning heroics almost impossible to fathom.
