The 2017 edition of the ISSA/FLOW Walker Cup final will have the same two finalists as it did last year as defending champions Kingston College (KC) and losing 2016 finalists Jamaica College (JC) advanced to the urban area knock out final in contrasting styles at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Photo: Kingston College striker Rashwan Mackison scored the first goal for Kingston College as they ran out 2-0 winners of Jamaica College to inflict the first defeat on the champions in the ISSA/FLOW Manning Cup since 2011. The victory saw KC advance along with JC to the semi-finals of the competition.

A first half stoppage time header from Orane Ferguson cancelled out a 2nd minute striker from Rashawn Mackison as Calabar High came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Kingston College in the quarter final of the ISSA/FLOW Manning Cup at the Stadium East Field on Saturday.

Played in front of the largest crowd at the venue this season, the highly anticipated game between two of the fiercest rival in schoolboy sports in the country, got off to an explosive start in a highly charged atmosphere.

With exams results coming out on Friday, coaches can now go after their targets in earnest in the hopes of bolstering their respective squads ahead of the September start of the Inter- Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Schoolboy Football season.
