Though unofficial, the Jamaican schoolboy football transfer window is now open. With exams results coming out on Friday, coaches can now go after their targets in earnest in the hopes of bolstering their respective squads ahead of the September start of the Inter- Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Schoolboy Football season.

Excelsior High school claimed their first Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/Locker Room schoolgirl football title since 2013 when they beat defending champions Lennon High 2-1 in the final played at the Spanish Town Prison Oval on Tuesday.

Peterkaye Green scored twice, after the league's leading scorer Shantell Thompson opened the scoring for Lennon High school who defeated former champions, Excelsior High 3-0 in the final of the ISSA Schoolgirl Football competition yesterday at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.
