The Reggae Boyz will ramp up preparations for a significant year that includes the Gold Cup in July and the start of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying with an International Friendly against the United States on March 25 at Stadion Wiener Neustadt in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.

Kickoff in the rematch of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup Semifinal is set for 1 p.m. ET.

Professional Football Jamaica (PFJ) announced on Wednesday that they have secured their 10th club sponsor for the upcoming season of the Jamaica Premier League, powered by Digicel.

The club sponsors, ConserveIT Limited, were announced at a press signing which took place at the Jamaica Pegasus.

Jamaica’s preparation for the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar will get underway when the Reggae Boyz play The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in two International Friendly games next month.  

Both games will be played at the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Stadium in Riyadh on November 14 and 17. This is indeed the best way to kick-start preparation with the squad experiencing the identical regional conditions under which the World Cup will be played.

Caribbean football powerhouse Trinidad and Tobago were today suspended by the world football governing body FIFA after they failed to withdraw court proceedings despite two clear chances to do so.

FIFA earlier today outlined the need for their course of action in media release posted on their website.

“The Bureau of the FIFA Council today suspended the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) with immediate effect due to grave violations of the FIFA Statutes.

World Cup preparations for the Reggae Boyz hit a major snag with the revelation that the two friendlies originally scheduled for October, were cancelled due to concerns about the Covid-19 virus.

The news of the cancellation of the games came by way of a press release from the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) on Sunday.

Former Reggae Boy and current Tivoli Gardens striker Jermaine “Teddy” Johnson was shot an injured some late this afternoon in the Tivoli Gardens community.

Johnson was among a group of three persons who were shot an injured in what was described as a drive by shooting.

All three persons were taken to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) where they were treated and are now said to be in stable condition.

France manager Didier Deschamps has revealed that Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has tested positive for the coronavirus, Covid-19.

The 27-year-old will now have to self-isolate for 14 days and will miss France's Nations League game in Sweden on Saturday, September 5th and the home game against Croatia on Tuesday.
