Manchester City mounted a staggering siege on Stamford Bridge with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Chelsea on Sunday. A contest many imagined would be exciting from one end to the other turned out to be rather a one-sided game in the end.

Arsenal host rivals Chelsea in one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the Premier League calendar at the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day. This game could prove to be make or break for Arsenal’s coach Mickel Arteta while a win for the Blues could see Chelsea’s Frank Lampard break back into the top four.

Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday for their week 10 fixture against Chelsea. The London derby sets up for a cracking encounter as both teams go head to head to grab all three points. The Lilywhites are currently second in the table with 20 points one place ahead of Chelsea, who sits in third place on 18 points.

Chelsea continued their unbeaten run with an emphatic victory over Newcastle at St. James' Park on Saturday. The win temporarily put Chelsea at the top of the table with 18 points, for the first time since 2018 when Maurizio Sarri was in charge. It was the third win on the spin in the league for Lampard's men.

Bayern Munich secured a favourable draw as they look to defend the UEFA Champions League title they secured only a few weeks ago. In what is the fastest turnaround in the history of the competition, the German champions will face Atletico Madrid, Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow in Group A in the first round of the 2020-21 season.

In Group B, Real Madrid, who have won the competition the most of any club, will face a powerful Inter Milan team along with Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich avoided any potential banana skins, as they eased through to the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League on Saturday with routine wins over Napoli and Chelsea respectively.

Sinclair has been charged with the responsibility of preparing budding players to advance into the first team at the club.
