With 12 games to go and 36 points to haul in before the big four battle, Cavalier and Boys Town know there should be no slipping up going forward for the rest of the season.

It is not uncommon to see Boys Town fighting to pull themselves away from the relegation zone and since the latter part of last year they have been facing an uphill battle to avoid relegation.

A fourteen minute blackout which began in the 70th minute of the game saved the blushes of second place Waterhouse FC in the Red Stripe Premier League on Sunday as they came from behind to defeat Cavalier SC 2-1 and snatch all three points in what was a lucky escape. Waterhouse now has 38 points.

Trailing to a 17th minute strike from Norman Dailey, the hosts produced only moments of brilliance in the first 45 minutes as Cavalier more than held their own on the Drewsland pitch.

Cavalier Soccer Club has been having a terrible run in the Red Stripe Premier League. Their Captain and striker Girvon Brown thinks he should be to blame for that since he had been getting goal scoring opportunities and just can’t find the back of the net of late. Brown and cavalier had a dream start in the league but they have really struggle in the last seven matches.

Nicholas Beckett is fast developing the reputation of being one of Jamaica’s deadliest strikers of the dead ball in and around the goal area. The Harbour View skipper produced a peach of a free kick on Sunday to earn his team all three points against Cavalier in the Red Stripe Premier League and help them move up a spot to third in the league.

Beckett had produced a similar type of effort only a few weeks earlier in his team's 2-0 win over Waterhouse.

Former champions Harbour View took advantage of slips by two of the top four teams in the Red Stripe Premier League on Sunday when their 1-0 win over Cavalier saw them climb above Waterhouse into third as well as close the gap on leaders Montego Bay United who drew 0-0 at home with bottom place Barbican.
