Humble Lion FC whipped Tivoli Gardens 4-0 at the Effortville Community Centre on Sunday to finish top of the pile of the Red Stripe Premier League after leaders at the beginning of the day, UWI FC fell 2-0 to Portmore United at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.

A point behind the UWI at the start of the day, Humble Lion needed a win over Tivoli plus help from Portmore to surpass the Mona based team and claim the $1million dollar bounty.

Things are shaping up pretty well for a few teams, especially those in the top half of the table while things are getting uncomfortable for the teams in the bottom third of the table as we head to round 20 of the Red Stripe Premier League on Sunday 10th, January 2016.

In one of the early games Boys Town FC will be aiming to take maximum points at the expense of Waterhouse FC, when the two battle at the Barbican Stadium in a 3:00 kick off.

A hat-trick from Jermaine “Tuffy” Anderson and a brace from Romario “Rom Rom” Campbell helped Waterhouse ease past a hapless Boys Town 5-1 on Sunday at the Waterhouse Mini-Stadium in the penultimate set of games in the regular season of the Red Stripe Premier League.
