The 2014 INSPORTS/Southern Conference Community Basketball final will go to a fifth and decisive game as Arnett Gardens Rockers defeated Waterhouse Blazers 75-66 to level the series.


Having lost the first two of this best-of-five contest, Arnett gallantly fought back to win games three and last night’s game four played at Arnett Gardens.

Arnett Garden Rockers avoided the sweep as they defeated Waterhouse Blazers 79-64 in Game 3 of the best-of-five final in the INSPORTS/SCB Community Basketball at Waterhouse on June 6.

Trailing 2-0 in the series, the Rockers got off to a flying start, dominating the first two quarters to lead by 18 points at half-time with Delano Mallett, Vivian Spence and Arnel Campbell in great form.

Waterhouse Blazers will look to go 2-0 up in the Community Basketball finals when they face Arnett Gardens Rockers at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex tonight.

In a tense and exciting game one played at the Waterhouse Mini-Stadium Courts, the Blazers made home court advantage count in overtime as the teams were tied at 60 at the end of regulation.

Waterhouse got off to a comfortable start and led 20-10 at the end of the first quarter but Arnett Gardens clawed their way back in the game in the second, outscoring their opponents by 1 as the half ended 32-23.
