“I have to thank the Lord for this. without him this would not be possible,” said a grateful Pullen. “Words can’t explain at this moment as this was always my dream since competing in the Triple Jump in high school. It’s a nice feeling to come in front of my home fans and jump the qualifying mark for the Olympics. It has been a tremendous breakthrough season for me and each meet I go it keeps getting better,” he declared.

The 21 year old, who was a standout at the high school championships over the years, was not surprised he made the qualifying jump for the Olympics as he trust his coach and the hard work he has been putting in.

“There is a lot more left in the tank. I am looking forward to returning to Arkansas to work with my coaches, as they have the films to watch other and see what needs to be corrected. The sky is the limit when I am in Brazil, as you know you can’t count anyone out and I will be looking to do great things there,” Pullen concluded.
