Harbour View back on top of RSPL but maybe not for long

Defending champions Harbour View returned to the top of the Red Stripe Premier League yesterday after they played out a nil-all draw with long-time rivals Boys Town at Collie Smith Drive. The point was enough for them to join Montego Bay United on 48 points but went top by virtue of goal difference.

Defending champions Harbour View returned to the top of the Red Stripe Premier League yesterday after they played out a nil-all draw with long-time rivals Boys Town at Collie Smith Drive. The point was enough for them to join Montego Bay United on 48 points but went top by virtue of goal difference.

The game was the last of the make-up games for the league leaders but the point may not have been enough for them to remain top.

Second place Mobay United travel to third place Waterhouse today in a massive game in the run-in to decide who finishes on top of the league. Waterhouse are just a point behind the top two and despite their 1-1 draw with struggling Rivoli United on Monday night will be confident of taking all three points at home in this critical encounter.

Mobay United has been value for their position in the league despite two losses in their last three games and is expected to go for all three points themselves. The game which is set for a 6:00pm start should provide plenty of action from two teams that love to attack and play a good brand of passing football.

Kenroy Howell has been given an extended run up front and has scored in the last two games for Waterhouse. His goals could be a major factor in deciding the outcome of tonight’s game.

A win for either team puts them top but a high score draw would see Mobay United return to the summit.
