Four games will be played today as round two of the Flow Champions Cup gets under way. With the top six teams of the Red Stripe Premier League from last season now joining the action, football fans will be treated to some exciting matchups which includes a mouth watering treat today featuring defending champions Tivoli Gardens and Boys Town at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.

Tivoli got off to a good start in the RSPL on Sunday with a 1-0 win over Montego Bay United while Boys Town lost 2-0 away to Waterhouse with the first of the two goals coming from their former player Marvin Morgan.

But this is knock out football and form goes out the window in these types of competition. The action should be fast and intense today as teams vie for a spot in the quarter finals. The game is set to start at 5:30pm while the game between Harbour View and Rivoli United  starts at  7pm at Harbour View. The day’s other two game s will start at 3pm. Sporting Central FC will play  Black Star FC at Juici Patties Park and Axum Sports Club and Reggae Youths FC do battle at Gray’s Inn.

Tivoli Gardens manager Brian Rose was confident of his team’s chances after the draw last Friday stating, “we are comfortable with the draw. Home is an advantage but it doesn’t really matter. We will be going with our best team, we are the defending champions and we want to win again.”

After the good RSPL start on Sunday, the confidence will certainly be high in the Tivoli camp.

Derrick Upfield was upbeat after Friday’s draw encouraging fans to come out: “It is very early in the season but we are prepared. We have brought up six under 20 players and we are pleased with that. It shows that were are building from within. The games between these two teams are always good games and we don’t expect that to change, so come out on Wednesday and enjoy the game.”

Boys Town will need to shake off Sunday’s defeat and be ready to go this afternoon.
